As we transition to the summer, the Zoo is focused on expanding our impact in the community and on connecting more Angelenos to nature. 

As the weather in Los Angeles warms up and the days grow longer, our nights are shorter but a lot more fun.

The Zoo and its staff and volunteers are hard at work celebrating and conserving our marvelous planet during Earth Month. The holiday season is my absolute favorite time of the year. It reminds me of another year gone by and of the opportunity for reflection, as we look back at our progress and impact and renew our spirits for a brand-new year to come—a new year that will bring with it opportunities for continued growth and lasting connections.

We are thrilled that L.A. Zoo Lights is returning beginning November 18, 2022, as L.A. Zoo Lights: Animals Aglow. “L.A.’s brightest winter tradition” will be all new in 2022—reimagined as a spectacular wonderland of glowing lanterns depicting animals and plants, a celebration of light and nature all of us can enjoy together. Here’s why that’s so special.
