Tickets on Sale Now for VIP Day with Wildlife Photographer, Nikon USA® Ambassador and Media Personality, Ron Magill
(Los Angeles, CA) January 8, 2020— In partnership with Paul’s Photo, the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association announces an exclusive one-day-only “Photo Walk & Talk” with well-known Miami-based wildlife photographer and animal expert, Ron Magill. For the VIP “Photo Walk,” a small group of guests will get the chance to take up-close photos of a selection of photo-worthy L.A. Zoo animals exclusively with Mr. Magill, along with Mark Comon from Paul’s Photo, and the Nikon team. Attendees will learn tips for photographing wild animals and practice the use of light skills for impactful visual storytelling. Only 20 tickets are available for this exclusive photo walking tour, which starts before the Zoo opens and includes a catered lunch with Mr. Magill. In addition to the VIP tour, Ron Magill will present a separately ticketed “Photo Talk” lecture and Q&A from 1 to 3 p.m. in the L.A. Zoo’s Witherbee Auditorium. Photo Walk This exclusive VIP ticket grants guests early access to the Zoo with a small group of fellow photography enthusiasts and includes a walking tour with Ron Magill and members of his team. Attendees will meet Ron, get expert tips and tricks, and witness this famed Nikon USA® Ambassador in action. Tickets are $299 each, and the group is limited to 20. The VIP experience is 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and includes:
- Admission to the Zoo before it is open to the public
- Walking photography tour of the Zoo with Ron Magill
- Nikon camera gear on loan for the day
- Special animal feedings and animal close-ups of gorillas, giraffes, lions, chimps, sloth, and more
- A private group lunch with Ron Magill
- Entrance to the Photo Talk, with VIP reserved seating area
Photo Talk Join five-time Emmy® award winner and wildlife expert, Ron Magill for a special lecture and Q&A session where he will share the story of how he became one of the top wildlife photographers and show off some of his best work. Tickets to the lecture and Q&A session are $20 and $15 for members. Seating is extremely limited, and tickets will sell out.

About Ron Magill
Ron has worked with wildlife for over 40 years. As the official wildlife expert for Good Morning America and Nikon USA Ambassador, Ron has inspired a sense of conservation awareness in fans across the globe. He is the host of the national wildlife documentary program, Mundo Salvaje con Ron Magill. As Zoo Miami’s “Goodwill Ambassador,” he has made frequent television appearances on many programs and networks, including National Geographic Explorer, the Discovery Networks, the Today Show, Good Morning America, The Late Show, CBS’ This Morning, Dateline, and CNN, as well as on Spanish-language networks Univision and Telemundo. Accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), the landmark Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens, drawing more than 1.8 million visitors each year, is home to a diverse collection of 1,400 animals representing 270 different species, 58 of which are endangered. Its lush grounds on 133 acres feature a botanical collection comprising over 800 different plant species with approximately 7,000 individual plants.
