International Vulture Awareness Day Special Programming
Your L.A. Zoo is celebrating the importance, majesty, and beauty of the vultures around the world and the four species that we care for at the Zoo with a full day of special programming and activities.
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Learn about vultures and their cousins at two interactive education stations
- “Birds and Beaks”
- “California Conservation Station”
- Hear about some spectacular birds that you’ll find at the Zoo from the experts who care for them
- Andean condor at 11 a.m. in South America
- King vulture at 1 p.m. in South America
- Harpy eagle at 3 p.m. in the Aviary
- Flock to the World of Birds Show for programs highlighting some of the Zoo’s remarkable resident vultures
- World of Birds Show featuring Cape vultures at 12 p.m.
- Vulture visits with keeper Q&A at 2:30 p.m.
