Evening Programing: Condor Cliffhangers

We love IVAD so much, we’re celebrating day and night! Join us for a very special evening program, Condor Cliffhangers: Adventures Saving the California Condor, on September 7 at 7 p.m. featuring L.A. Zoo vulture experts and special guest Chris Parish, President and CEO of the Peregrine Fund. Learn more.

Why We’re Celebrating

With vulture populations plummeting and some species losing up to 90 percent of their populations, what’s to celebrate? While human activity and development have pushed vultures and other species to the brink of extinction, our actions can help save them. It all begins by becoming informed and inspired through events like IVAD at the L.A. Zoo.

Saving vultures requires more than education and awareness, though. It also takes hard work by dedicated experts in the field. The L.A. Zoo is proud to partner with other accredited institutions on the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ SAFE (Saving Animals from Extinction) program dedicated to protecting wild African vultures.
