Member Tour: Welcome to Water World!

Archer Fish

Sunday, October 13
10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Some animals spend their entire lives underwater while others almost never see (or drink) water at all. From breathing through gills to breathing through skin to always having one hemisphere of their brain “awake” so they remember to breathe—aquatic animals have evolved some amazing adaptations! Which cats love to swim? How many species are born with natural snorkels? How do alligators and fish sense changes and movement in water? What bugs carry a bubble of air on their rump? Come take a watery walk with our touring docents as we reveal these answers and so much more on Sunday, October 13th.
