Zoo Block Party
2-5pm. Front Entry Plaza. Show off your best moves, play games, and listen to music at the weekend Zoo Block
Nature Journaling
2pm. Children's Zoo. Decorate a recycled journal and make observations about your surroundings with this nature journaling activity.
Nature Play
11 a.m. Visit the Play Park and participate in nature-themed activities, games, and crafts.
Chalk Art
1-5 p.m. Front Entry Plaza. Express your colorful creativity by drawing nature-inspired chalk art at the L.A. Zoo.
Gorilla Family Time
11 a.m. Gorilla Habitat. Enjoy late-morning quality time with gorillas as Zoo staff chat about gorilla family dynamics.
Troop Talk
12:30 p.m. Daily. Chimpanzee Seating Area. Join this free, on-microphone talk about troop dynamics.
World of Birds Show
12 pm. Angela Collier World of Birds Theater. This popular, free-flight bird presentation features impressive displays of natural behavior.
Condor Spotting
12:30 p.m. Across from Bird Show Theater. Get a closer look at the L.A. Zoo’s California condors through spotting scopes
Birding
10 am. Aviary. Using our binoculars and guide, spot some of the Zoo’s most colorful birds.
