L.A. Zoo Lights Named One of 10 Best Zoo Lights in America, Offering 100 $10 Tickets Each Night For Remainder of Run

DEC 19, 2019 (Los Angeles, CA)— USA TODAY 10Best set out to find North America’s best seasonal events including light shows, holiday parades, Christmas markets and festive hotels. Readers have been voting for their holiday favorites over the past four weeks. The results are in and L.A. Zoo Lights has been named one of “10 Best Zoo Lights” in America.

To celebrate their 10Best award, beginning at 8 a.m. on Friday, 12/20, 2019 L.A. Zoo Lights is offering 100 general admission tickets for each night at only $10 for the rest of the 2019/2020 season. This offer is good every night through January 5, 2020, limit 4 per customer, while supplies last.

The 10Best panel of experts selected 20 top national zoos for “Best Zoo Lights” consideration and the L.A. Zoo placed 10th in the nation and one of only 3 in California. L.A. Zoo Lights received these honors in 2015,  2016 and 2018 (nominated in 2017), making it one of the city’s “must-see” annual holiday events and L.A.’s wildest holiday tradition. For the final weeks of 2019, L.A. Zoo Lights has added NEW holiday happenings + VIP parties:

  • Nightly Snowfall! Snow at the Zoo will start this week at Santa’s Holiday Headquarters, every night at 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, and 9:30pm.
  • #ThrowbackThursdays “Countdown to 2020” with DJ Severe! For the final 3 Thursdays of L.A. Zoo Lights, we’re counting down to 2020 with musical journeys back to decades past. L.A.’s own DJ severe will be spinning the biggest hits and holiday tunes from the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s.  Schedule: Thursday, December 19: #TBT to the ’80s. Thursday, December 26: #TBT to the ’90s. Thursday, January 2: #TBT to the 2000s. Free with L.A. Zoo Lights admission. Located in Elephant Circle near the Holiday Light Wall. * Schedule subject to change.
  • VIP Holiday Happy Hour “Totally Tubular Tidings” on December 19! This final VIP night includes express entry to L.A. Zoo Lights and access to a private lounge with gourmet hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, and a signature cocktail from 6:30-8:30pm; 21+. Reservations and separate tickets are required.
  • Family New Year’s Party, December 31! Celebrate New Year’s with the family at your favorite place – the L.A. Zoo! Enjoy express entry to L.A. Zoo Lights, full dinner buffet, carousel ride, games, DJ dance party, and live broadcast of the Times Square ball drop at 9pm. Raise a toast to the New Year with complimentary champagne for adults (21+) and sparkling apple cider for kids. Families are welcome to enjoy L.A. Zoo Lights until closing. Ticket prices: $74 for adults and $49 for children (2-12.) Tickets for Family New Year’s Eve include admission to L.A. Zoo Lights and are available at L.A.ZooLights.org. General admission discount offers do not apply.
