Family Nature Club

Play has never been so natural!

Children participating in a Family Nature Club event

Family Nature Club is back – and, in partnership with L.A. Department of Recreation & Parks, we’re exploring beyond the Zoo! Join us for FREE nature play on the last Saturday of every month.

Family Nature Club participants will spend the morning enjoying loosely structured outdoor play – exploring nature through art and building, observation and imagination.

Families, caregivers, and children of all ages are welcome. No registration is required. Family Nature Club is facilitated by L.A. Zoo Learning & Engagement staff.

9 – 10:30 a.m

The L.A. Zoo thanks L.A. Recreation & Parks for hosting Family Nature Club.

Limited parking (including accessible spaces) is available adjacent to the play area and larger parking lots are nearby. Restrooms (including single and accessible stalls) are available a short distance away. Our activities will take place primarily in a grass area, and this space is accessible by a combination of grass and paved paths. Some paths are uneven or currently undergoing maintenance.

This event takes place in an open space and is accessible to any park visitor. Due to the public nature of this space, there may be unplanned noises, activity, and visual stimuli near our Family Nature Club location. We will have a limited number of free sensory bags (with headphones and fidgets) available to borrow during the program.

For more information on the program, contact Elise Lolli-Bregoff, Zoo Curator of Education at elise.lollibregoff@lacity.org or 323-644-4709.
