L.A. Zoo Lights is L.A.’s wildest holiday tradition. Guests immerse themselves in a dazzling world of lights, with exciting new elements that will delight and entertain the entire family. In 2026 the event celebrates the holidays while bringing guests on a journey through a vibrant world of plants, pollinators, and breathtaking displays celebrating the wonders of nature past and present. Discover larger-than-life birds, butterflies, insects, flowers, marine creatures, and Ice Age giants illuminated by spectacular sculptural lights.

In addition to the all-new light displays, the Zoo is returning some of last year’s fan favorites including the interactive elements, an artificial ice-skating rink, seasonal treats and cocktails, and photo-ops through the park including Santa Claus himself (for an additional fee on select days). Guests can ride the carousel and enjoy warming treats like churros, smores, and hot cocoa. Those 21 and older can enjoy beer, wine, and spiked hot cocoa available every night, and cash bars Friday through Sunday.

L.A. Zoo Lights is located at the Los Angeles Zoo and runs select evenings November 20 through January 10. Box Office is open on event days from 5:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

The event will be closed on:
November 26 (Thanksgiving Day) and 30.
December 1, 7, 14, 15, 16, 24 (Christmas Eve), 25 (Christmas Day), and December 31 (NY Eve).
January 4, 5, 6, 7.

The L.A. Zoo Lights experience takes 60 to 90 minutes for most guests.

Yes, admission to the skating rink requires a separate ticket purchase.
