Discounted Admission for Children in Costumes!
This year the Los Angeles Zoo’s annual Boo at the Zoo, presented by Nestlé, has been extended
to two weekends! Taking place on October 24, 25, 31 and November 1, 2009, the Zoo
transforms into four themed areas for this festive event. Families can visit the Creepy Creature
Encounter in the Winnick Family Children’s Zoo, Pumpkin Patch Place at Eucalyptus Grove,
Halloween Down Under in Australia and the Birds of Halloween located across from World of
Birds Show.
Boo at the Zoo features amazing pumpkin-carving demonstrations, face painting and trick-or-treating
throughout the Zoo. Don’t miss entertaining Halloween performances and the chance to
get up close with spiders, bugs and snakes at the Creepy Creature Encounter! Make sure to
catch exciting keeper talks about owls, the shadows of the night, and learn about what these night
flyers eat while dissecting owl pellets at Birds of Halloween. See the Zoo’s animals Stomp ‘n
Chomp pumpkin treats on both weekends!
This year, the L.A. Zoo is offering a dollar off the price of admission for children ages two
through 12 that comes to Boo at the Zoo in a costume! Boo at the Zoo is sponsored by Nestlé and supported by Farmers Insurance Group® and FedEx®.
